![]() Our science experiment for this week was all about Gravity! The Steam area of Mother Goose Time for the fourth week had a super interesting but low-key experiment. But I decided to jazz it up a bit for the children in my program. It was 76 degrees outside and super sunny. We were all itching to get outside. So, I decided that we were going to go outside and do our science experiment. We had a conversation about gravity and which planets had gravity on them and what it means for us to be here on earth with gravity verses if we were on the moon. But the children are preschool aged, simply talking about it was not going to cut. So, we did a demonstration about gravity and then went into which things fall faster. We made it a race. Which made the whole experiment much more fun! I decided to film the lesson. I wanted to show how thinking outside of the box can turn a low-key experiment into a huge amount of fun! Thanks to Mother Goose Time for providing fun ideas for STEM activities! |
