Pre-k/Kindergarten Curriculum

Pre-k and Kindergarten are taught by Ms. Tessie. For our Reading Curriculum we use Science of Reading from Teacherspayteachers

Pre-k Students will be introduced to these skills. Some of them do develop the ability to read by the end of the school year with this program but even if they do not just being introduced to concepts in a way that is fun, hands on and engaging gives them the ability to pick up the skills easier when they are fully ready. 

Literacy Curriculum: 

This literacy curriculum can be scaled up for Kindergarten! This means that we are truly doing the work that is necessary to individualize the curriculum and creating space for the children to learn new things at their speed.

Math Curriculum: 
Hands on math curriculums lead to children who enjoy the process of learning and exploring math concepts. We want them to use these concepts in their play. Once that happens they will be able to hold on to this knowledge much better than simply using it during a work time at school.
